Wood Grain suggestions

Metal, stone, concrete, no problem. Anybody have a suggestion on how to use the STK to make a good wood texture? I'm making a gothic cathedral in my spare time, and I want to make a choirbox out of mahogany; smooth and polished.

i can show you how to do this, or something similar in photoshop. All though i think you'll get better results with a wood texture
