I am attempting to render out a sequence where two objects are mapped with a QuickTime file & I am running into an error which quits the camera program. The error I receive is:

"Please increase Camera's reserve memory size using Camera Extender. Out of memory compressing QuickTime frame."

I have increased the camera's memory to 100Mb, but still no luck. The QT file is relatively large (almost 1/2 Gig). Does anyone have a fix? What is the "Camera Extender" & how do I increase its memory? Thanks for any & all help.

How much RAM do you have on your system?

Allocating 100MB of RAM for Camera, the rendering application for EI, is really small, especially compared to your QT texture. You need to allocate as much RAM as possible to Camera to compensate for the large QT texture you have.

If you have 500MB of RAM, I would say try giving Camera 350 to 400MB or more, though if you give it any more, you may run into Finder problems...

Thanks Scott, I'll give it a try. But one question... what is the "camera extender" in the error message? I can't find any documentation on this feature.
