View Full Version : dv matte pro capabilities
I am considering strongly buying dv matte pro want to find out if the program is forgiving in situations of bad lighting and if your green background has wrinkles in it how forgiving is it. also is dv matte user friendly.

Rodo,
dvmatte will give its best results with a perfectly smooth screen, but you can often get usable results with less-than-perfect screens, too. Download the demo, and see if it works for you! If you compare it to the other keyers out there, I think you'll get a feel for what sets dvmatte apart. The new dvmatte (which is on the way very soon) is a bit more user friendly and generates a nicer matte -- so you may want to wait for it.
Thanks!

hi ben
I'm working on a movie with 67 scenes containing visual effects, most likely blue screen keys. if you like to take a look, here are some few examples I already made:

(right mouse click to download). since long time ago I'm a big fan of dvmatte and am pretty shure that I'm able to solve all keys although I'm suffering some bad lightning (which I made, so there is no one else to blame).
as you noted that a new version is on its way, I'm thinking if I should wait as the project has no clear deadline. do we speak of weeks or months?
