Alpha missing?

I've downloaded the demo and am compositing an image in a green screen, very straightforward. When I shift A to see the alpha channel the entire screen is white. No adjustsments affect it at all. What's wrong?

Hi Jess,

You probably have a background plate in your timeline, and since its alpha is pure white, it's covering up your foreground's alpha -- if you toggle the background layer off, you should be able to see the matte.
