Okay, so I know how to make a closed spline and extrude shape from that, that's the easy part. What I want to know is if its possible to create something like, say, a tube using only two curves and no booleans. I'm just trying to relate this to something like Max where you would attach the two splines together and then when you extruded it it would only fill in the ares between the two splines, leaving you with a holloy shape.

I'm just trying to figure this out so I don't have to boolean all of the rooms out of a house I'm trying to model.

Thanks.

You could use the skinning tool. Make sure the end caps option is turned off.

There isn't anything like that in EIM but the wire knives on planar sheets or on solid objects give good results.

In your example, just cut the shape out using the wire knife tool.
