I have been playing around in the modeller and created what is supposed to be a book cover. I export the file as a fac. When I open the animator and try to add the fac I get the warning: This file does not contain any geometry and will not be included in this project. What have I done wrong? When I export a primitive as a fac I can bring it into animator just fine. Any thoughts.

I'm not sure, never had this one...maybe you could post a screen shot of the model in modeller? or go into more detail regarding its' construction? sorry to not be more helpful to a fellow northcarolinian... -don

I think I got this message once a few years ago.....I believe it can occur if you boolean a wire to a solid.

I deleted a curve and a line that was in the original model and exported that. Tried to add it again but same warning.

No big clues there for me....I usually export visable only and layers as groups...also don't export my lights or camera.

Hi,
I also had this problem and solved it. I,m new to the 3dToolkit but after checking the manual on the export function it worked, It has something to do with the tesselation settings, apply the figures the manual mentions and then it should work. At least it did for me.
Please let me know if this works for you also.
Cheers, Jack

make sure you uncheck "Export Selection Only" under your export preferences, at the moment you're only exporting the elements that are selected, so when nothing is selected... I'm sure you can fill the rest in for yourself

As of today these prefs enabled me to import the book cover fact. Thanks to all who posted.
